The study focuses on the Via Tauri and the ancient settlements to its west, located in the hinterland of Tarsus within the boundaries of the Sağlık district. This road and the settlements are the subject of a comprehensive joint investigation for the first time. The settlements are significant due to their location in the immediate vicinity of the Via Tauri and are characterized by their rural nature. The ancient names of the settlements are unknown to us. Therefore, they are listed by their modern names: Sakızçukuru, Kümbet, Çeşmekaşı, Gavurperdeği/Ökeni. This book is the result of nine years of surface surveys in the hinterland of Tarsus.
